Jayne

I trained as a Holistic Therapist over 25 years ago after a serious health issue of my own. It was during my treatment that I discovered the deep and important connection between our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being.

I was so enthralled, enlightened and excited by the discovery that I gave up a well-paid job in Bristol to take a new career path in complementary healthcare – focusing on the holistic approach.

Since then I have worked alongside and received training from many leading and respected complementary healthcare professionals. Every day I look forward to learning something new from my work, my clients or my associates.

For more than two years I was a volunteer complementary therapist at the Sue Ryder Hospice in Cheltenham, where I worked with patients with chronic and life-limiting conditions and people receiving end-of-life care. It was an honour to help improve the quality of life of people and their families facing such difficult circumstances.

I have recently taken on a new role as a LTP Learning and Therapeutic Partner (which is a bit like a Teaching Assistant for children with Special Educational Needs) in a Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Primary School.  I am hoping that my experience of working with imbalances in my clients social, emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual levels will assist me in supporting these children to gain a greater understanding of themselves within their educational setting. I am also hoping to learn a lot from working with them and from working in this setting.

I am passionate about my work and absolutely love being a Holistic Therapist. I am also a third Dan Black Belt and a Karate instructor – so watch your step!

As a firm believer in Continuing Professional Development, I regularly attend complementary therapy courses, workshops and conferences in my own, and in related fields, which continue to both deepen and expand my skills and knowledge.

From my work over two and a half decades I have no doubt whatsoever that our bodies carry our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual scars within their structure. Our bodies record our lives and often hold on to issues that eventually manifest as “dis-ease” causing us aches, pains, stress, anxiety, sleep issues and causing us to feel down. This “dis-ease” is your body telling you that something is wrong and you really need to address it!

As individuals we all require individual treatment. I tailor all my treatments to the needs of each client, dealing with both specific issues in the tissues, as well as treating the body and person as a whole – in true Holistic Therapist style.

If you are facing any of the issues mentioned, do get in touch – you may be surprised just how much better you can feel.

Thank you

Jayne
